Playing with Some Plains and Prints

by - Thursday, August 01, 2013

It is a common practice to pair a printed apparel with a plain one so as to strike a balance for the entire look. And that is just what I did with the outfit I am sharing for today. I paired this pair of leggings that I bought from SM Department Store (which is the same pair I wore in this outfit post) with this plain yellow tank top from YRYS. But to make things more interesting, I decided to layer up by wearing this blouse from Blush (my favorite SM Kids' Fashion brand). I really like the outcome of the entire look given the yummy color combination of the tank top and blouse.

blouse P499.75 - Blush(SM Dept. Store)
tank top P200.00 - YRYS
printed leggings P175.00 (50% off) - Shopaholic (SM Dept. Store)
Sandals P1499.75 - Folded and Hung
necklace P250.00 - Jellybean

For my accessories, I opted for simple ones that would just blend in with the colors present with my outfit, hence this long necklace made of wooden material from Jellybean, and my yellow ring from St. Francis. Same idea was applied with my choice of footwear, since its colors can be found in the prints of my leggings as well. And I want to emphasize again that this pair of chunky-heeled sandals are very comfortable to wear that I could endure wearing it the entire day. If only I could pair it with any outfit that I'd like to wear (or I hope I could find something like this with a different color haha!). So what can you say about this look?

By the way, has anyone able to check the members only sale earlier? I went to Megamall this afternoon and bought some nice items from Forever21! It seemed like I got one of the items I bought for free given the discount they offered today. I will make sure to share the outfits I came up with them so I hope you visit this blog again. Have a great day!

  1. I love the leggings! You pulled this great. :) I agree with you; chunky heels is more comfortable even in all-day wearing. I shopped a shoes in SM Dept. Store earlier today, gosh, I found a nude pumps in 50% off, then I was surprised that from the 50% off, they gave me another 10% off using my sm advantage. Hayyy.... Very cool and amazing sale!
