Hint of Skin (Cropped Top with High Waist Skirt)
My mind was already set for Taylor Lautner's event at Glorietta Activity Center last Sunday, so even if it was raining hard that time, I braved the weather and went all the way to Makati to meet my friends who were also attending the event. I didn't go his Fan Meet last August 17 at MOA Arena, so I was willing to wake up early and fall in line (if ever) just to see him before he leaves the country.
And this is what I wore that day for the event. I've been wanting to wear this cropped top that I bought from Forever 21 (see post here), but the thing is, the pieces that I thought of pairing it with are all in our house and I was not able to go home that weekend. Good thing I had this high waist pleated skirt with me at the unit! And for me, it was a good choice combining these two together since entire outfit became weather-friendly due to the fact that I was all covered up. Well except for that hint of skin that shows up haha! So if you are like me who are now leaning towards cropped tops, this is one way of wearing it so you won't get those weird stares when you stroll in the street or the mall: pair the top with a high waist bottom; may it be shorts, skirts or pants. Just make sure that you balance everything and always look and feel comfortable with what you wear. Being happy with what you wear is always the key to pull off any wardrobe.
cropped top P405.00 - Forever21
pleated skirt P300 (50% off) - Tomato
ring (gift from Tin) - Forever21
necklace P99.00 (sale) - Celine
sling bag P1000.00+ - E.G.G.
|We call this "lucky ring", an advance birthday gift from my roommate Tin ( Thanks again girl!)|
By the way, this was also the day, Hershey fixed my eyebrows(thanks again Hershey!). I was super happy with the result that I was wearing this big smile the whole time! She applied e.l.f. Eyebrow Gel Kit then the Tame and Treat, which I already mentioned here and finished it with the Highlighter. If you are a frequent reader of my blog, then I'm sure you would notice the difference of my brows with and without the product. I'll try to work on a review post with pictures this weekend so I hope you visit again for that.
It is a holiday today, but since the weather is still not good, it's better to stay inside your houses and just bond with family, read books, or any activity that can be done in the confines of your homes. Or better yet you can just sleep the entire afternoon like what I will be doing once you read this entry (happiness!). On my next post, I'll try to compile details that I found online regarding on how to donate goods or money for typhoon victims. That way we can all be informed and be of help to those in need. Have a safe and comfy Wednesday to all!
